Al-Swaha and Al-Tamimi express their gratitude to the leadership for approving the amendment of the CST's regulations.

His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may Allah protect them – on the occasion of the Council of Ministers' approval of the amendment to the organization of the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission.

His Excellency stated that with the support and empowerment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may Allah protect them – the Kingdom continues to achieve its ambitions and solidify its leadership in the digital economy, space, and innovation.

He added that the updated regulation will serve as an additional enabler for the growth of the communications, technology, and space markets, and for enhancing investments in these sectors to seize present and future opportunities.

For his part, His Excellency the Governor of the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, also expressed gratitude to the wise leadership – may Allah protect them – for their approval of the organizational amendment, emphasizing that it will have a profound impact on advancing the ambitious strategic directions of the Commission’s sectors and empowering pioneering innovations within them.

He explained that the approval underscores the unlimited and continuous support enjoyed by the sectors regulated by the Commission, motivating their role in enhancing the Kingdom's global position and leadership, increasing investment attractiveness, fostering digital economic growth, and strengthening capabilities.

He affirmed that the regulation will stimulate the proposal of national and sectoral policies and plans, strengthen leadership in market regulation and technologies related to communications, space, and technology sectors, and raise standards and requirements for developing the civil space sector. Additionally, it will establish the regulatory and technical requirements for the development and implementation of digital infrastructure, encourage local and international investment, support human capital development, and enhance reliance on emerging digital technologies, enabling their adoption. This will, in turn, support the adoption of innovative and modern business models.
