Permit to provide Internet exchange services (IXP)

The permit allows the provision of Internet exchange services, through which service providers can; Networking and exchanging traffic (excluding private exchanges through direct binary arrangements) between their networks (autonomous systems).

  • Brief profile of the applicant.
  • A description of the services to be provided in the Kingdom.
  • Technical specifications of the systems and devices to be used.

Terms and Condition

  • Submit the application through the electronic licensing system.

  • Submission of a valid commercial registry in the Kingdom, and its validity period shall not be less than three months, and it includes the required permit activity.

  • Provide information about the entity and the representative of the entity.

  • Provide an introductory overview of the entity.

  • Provide a description of the services to be provided in the Kingdom through this permit.

  • Provide the technical specifications of the systems and devices intended to be used in providing the service through this permit.

  • Providing regulatory requirements for the service.

  • Submit all required documents and information in Arabic. Supporting documents (if any) may be submitted in English.

  • Paying the fees for the works and services provided by the Authority to issue/renew the required license and permit in accordance with the “Regulations of Financial Interviews for Telecommunications Services” document published on the Authority website
