CHALLENGE SCOPE

Urban heating leads to increased energy demand in KSA.

This challenge aims to develop advanced analytics to analyze thermal peaks in major Saudi cities, leveraging existing satellite remote-sensing data. The Quality of Life Program Center seeks to provide actionable insights and recommendations for real estate developers to enhance livability through architectural regulations that mitigate against rising temperatures.

We are looking for innovative solutions that utilize remote sensing data to map and monitor Urban heating at city block level on a regular basis to assist city authorities and town architectural planners to improve the designs and livability of the new KSA metropolis
